About
Judith Owen is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller who defies easy categorization. Her music moves effortlessly between jazz, blues, big band, pop, and theatre. On stage, she is at her very best: part concert, part theatrical performance, blending humour and heartfelt emotion in what she likes to call "mini-musicals." Her versatility was evident from an early age.
Born in Wales, Judith grew up behind the scenes at London's Royal Opera House, where her father was a singer. Those weekends spent in the wings shaped her as an artist, and she has since captivated millions of listeners around the world with the theatrical flair she developed there. Her breakthrough album Come On and Get It (2022), hailed by The Times as one of the year's most joyful records, firmly established her reputation.
A live album soon followed, along with the much-loved holiday release Judith Owen Swings Christmas. Her latest album, Suit Yourself, brings everything together: the fire of a big band, the sensuality of jazz, and the raw edge of blues, all delivered with fearless confidence. Whether performing solo or with her ensemble, her shows are always as intimate as they are electrifying.
As the UK's Jazz Journal aptly wrote, if they could design the ultimate crowd-pleasing performer, they would want ten Judith Owens.
